Steve Turner, District Governor - 2024-25

Steve Turner is from Sacramento, California and hails from the Rotary Club of Arden-Arcade.  Steve joined Rotary in 2011 after being invited by friends in his professional and community circles. Steve has been nominated to be the Rotary International District 5180 Governor in 2024-2025. He was the President of his Club in 2015/16 and served as their Foundation Chairman for six years. His favorite Club accomplishments have been the purchase of a Community Rotary Van with a District Grant, his Club’s annual Coats for Kids project, and his Club and Foundation’s new MOU on financial operations.  Steve is a Major Donor, a Bequest Society Member, and a Paul Harris Society Member.
 
In working toward his year as District Governor in 2024/2025, Steve plans to focus on: increasing Rotary’s value in our local communities’ “Everyday Peace Building”, helping membership grow through more valuable club meeting experiences across the district, and in finding ways to smooth the Rotary administration experience.
 
Steve Turner is a Retired Fire Battalion Chief from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, serving 30 years in the roles of Commander, Homeland Security Executive, Hazardous Materials Captain, PIO, Fire Investigator and Firefighter. He has been a California Police Officer and On-Call Deputy Sheriff for 24 years.  Steve owns an investigations and consulting firm focused on security and public safety issues. 
 
Steve is a California State Certified Chief Officer, a CA Licensed Private Investigator, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in management from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, California.  Steve and his daughter Audrey live in the Arden area of Sacramento.
