Looking for a way to support the District’s human trafficking initiative? Join Rotary District 5180 at the “Break Free Run” - The Race to End Human Trafficking - in Folsom on September 22, 2018! The District is a sponsor of the run, organized by 3Strands Global Foundation, to increase awareness about human trafficking.
3SGF is our contracted partner providing education and awareness training to 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th graders in many schools in our district to help prevent exploitation and victimization, with funding made possible, in part, by a global grant from The Rotary Foundation.
In addition to the education and awareness program in the schools, the District’s public awareness campaign against human trafficking is in full swing in the greater Sacramento area! With signs on billboards, in and on RT buses, on bus shelters, on gas station and health club closed-circuit TVs, we are educating the public to the problem that many don’t think exists here locally. It does, unfortunately, and Rotary has stepped up to do something about it!
We will also have a booth at the run where we’ll be handing out “Rotarians United Against Human Trafficking” wristbands…so stop on by and say “hi”!
