Welcome to June – the month where we focus on Rotary Fellowships! Pickleball, chess, railroads, bicycling, wine, beer, recreational vehicles - these are just a few of the many Fellowships available to Rotarians and their families to enjoy.

Rotary Fellowships are international groups that share a common passion. Being part of a fellowship is a fun way to make friends around the world, explore a hobby or profession, and enhance your Rotary experience.

Rotary Fellowships help expand skills, foster vocational development and enhance the Rotary experience by exploring interests while developing connections around the world.

Fellowships are open to all Rotarians, their family members as well as participants and alumni of all Rotary Foundation programs. They function independently of Rotary International by establishing their own rules, dues requirements and administrative structure.

Check out the list of current Rotary Fellowships at www.rotary.org/fellowships to see if there is one that interests you. And if you have an interest that isn’t listed, start a new one!

June is also the last month of the Rotary year - and what a great year it’s been! Many clubs went back to meeting in person again (hooray), many continued hybrid meetings of in person and Zoom participants, and some continued on Zoom. Regardless of meeting style, all of our District clubs continued their commitment to serving their communities and making a difference in the world!

It has been an honor to serve as your District Governor this Rotary year. It was such a pleasure to be able to witness the work of our Rotarians around the District – mentoring youth, feeding the hungry, cleaning up their community, raising funds to support local organizations... and so much more! Thank you to the Superheroes in our District – you answered the call of our Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta and you Served to Change Lives!

Yours in Service,

Desirée Wilson
