Rotary Club of Folsom
Ryan grew up in Rotary as both of his grandfathers are past presidents of their clubs (Sacramento Rotary and North Stockton Rotary). When Ryan was in his late teens and taking care of his grandfather, he would take him to Sacramento Rotary meetings when they had over 500 members.
Ryan was invited to a meeting of Folsom Rotary in 1994 by an acquaintance (James Taylor) and he’s been there ever since. After he joined Rotary, he would often go down to Stockton and do "make-up meetings" with his grandfather and it was a bond that they shared for many years.
Since joining Rotary, Ryan’s Rotary journey has been a shining example of servant leadership. He has poured his energy and passion into our movement as a Past President of the Folsom club, a trusted board member, and currently as Assistant Governor for Area 3. Through these roles, Ryan developed a true understanding of the heartbeat of our clubs and the opportunities that lie ahead for District 5180.
Beyond his leadership titles, what sets Ryan apart is his heart for people. He has inspired countless young leaders through Rotary Youth Leadership programs, mentored new Rotarians with genuine care, and lifted up his fellow members with encouragement and vision. His collaborative spirit and steady guidance have made him a respected and beloved leader in our District.
Ryan believes deeply in the power of Rotary to transform lives—and he leads with that conviction every single day. I know he will guide District 5180 with wisdom, passion, and the kind of servant leadership that inspires us all to do more and be more.
