Desirée Wilson, District Governor - 2021-22

Desirée joined Rotary in 2009 in the Point West – Sacramento Club. She has served on the club’s Board of Directors, and has been the club Secretary and Public Image Chair. She has also served at the District level as an Assistant Governor, the Public Image Chair for the Human Trafficking Initiative, a trainer for the Rotary Leadership Institute, on the District Rotary Foundation committee as the Annual Giving Officer and chaired the May 2019 District Conference. Prior to retirement, Desirée owned a small chain of Hallmark Card stores in Sacramento and Napa for 17 years and also had a 20-year career with the State of California in a variety of executive positions. She retired from the State in 2016. Her favorite Rotary moments are: the opportunity to travel to India on a polio immunization trip; to serve as a counselor at RYLA for two years; and to do the 100 mile Ride to End Polio in Tucson raising almost $50,000 for Polio Plus.
