Global Grant Scholarships
Rotary Scholarships for Graduate Students
The Rotary Foundation has scholarships available for graduate degree programs abroad.  We are looking for candidates who have been accepted in an international  university program in one of the following six areas of focus:
  • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water and sanitation
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Economic and community development
Rotary District 5180 has $30,000 scholarships available, depending on the number of qualified inbound and outbound scholarship applicants.  Applicants for outbound scholarships must work or live within Rotary District 5180 boundaries.  Inbound applicants must already be accepted at a college or university within (or very close to) our District boundaries.  The ideal candidate’s professional goals should align with The Rotary Foundation’s humanitarian efforts.
The 2018-2019 Schedule for the application and completing process is as follows:
April 15, 2018             
Deadline for submitting applications to a local Rotary Club.
May 10, 2018             
Deadline for Clubs-sponsored applications to be sent to the District Global Grants Scholarship Subcommittee for review.
May 18, 2018             
Tentative date for selected candidates to be interviewed — location to be determined.
May 31, 2018             
Final decision on award of scholarships will be announced by this date.
August 11, 2018         
Required orientation for successful scholars (location will be announced at the time of scholarship award).
January 31, 2019      Interim Report Due
June 29, 2019            Final Report Due
